Jackson Yoga offers a variety of classes for every skill level.


Monday


Mindful Yoga (At St. James church in Sharon)

Time: 10:00 am to 11:30 am

This  class is suitable for all levels and people who’ve never taken a yoga class before. We will emphasize gentle stretching, body awareness, breathing , balance and beginning meditation techniques.

Stretch and Strengthen Yoga

Time: 6:30 to 7:45

A slow, breath-centred yoga practice based on classical hatha yoga postures and designed to build flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness. Suitable for beginner and intermediate students.

Tuesday

 

Morning Yoga and Meditation

Time: Yoga from 9:00am to 10:00am
Meditation from 10:00am to 10:30am

This class combines an hour yoga practice and a thirty minute sitting practice (Vipassana) with some instruction, study and discussion. Suitable for all levels. Please arrive ten minutes early.

Mindful Yoga (at Georgina Healing Arts in Keswick)

Time: 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm

This program covers yoga in depth, but at a slow pace and without a lot of getting up and down from the floor. Appropriate for students with joint problems or movement limitations, or those who simply want a gentle, mindful approach. We will break poses down into segments, modify as necessary, and include pranayama and meditation techniques.

Thursday

 

Mindful Yoga (at Georgina Healing Arts in Keswick)

Time: 10:45 am to 12:00 pm

This is a special class that offers a small class size and plenty of individualized attention. This class is intended for students who have injuries, limitations in range of motion, pain, or other physical problems that might prevent them from participating in a regular yoga class. The class limits the amount of getting up and down from the floor required, but still involves a wide range of hatha yoga asanas, pranayama exercises and occasionally some meditation techniques.

Restore, Rebuild, Rebalance

Time: 2:30pm to 3:45pm

Stressed out? Burned out? Trouble sleeping?
This class is designed to release overly tight areas, strengthen weak areas, and address the mechanisms that cause postural imbalances in the first place. We will draw on a wide variety of yoga and therapeutic techniques and have a little fun while we’re at it.

Joy Yoga (At St. James church in Sharon)

Time: 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm

This  class is designed for students who can get up and down from the floor with relative ease and who are able to kneel on all fours. We will cover the fundamentals of hatha yoga as well as techniques for lengthening, strengthening, realigning, and relaxing.
